H. William Karcher, VP
Bill started his woodworking in 1955 at a large heavy machinery manufacturing company. He served a 5 year apprentice program in the pattern making trade learning about related trades necessary to complete the apprenticeship. He learned about the foundry trade, welding trade, machine shop, engineering and drafting. He spent 17 years at this trade before going on his own in 1972. His son Bill joined him in 1974 at 15 years old and is still with him today. Bill is still active at 80 years old and between him and his son they have 101 years of experience.

Bill has an extensive background in the woodworking business. Bill grew up working along side his dad in the woodworking shop. Bill learned to appreciate working with nature's most environmentally sound and renewable building material - wood, from his father. When Bill got older he chose his woodworking roots when it was time to make a career decision. Bill attended college and earned his degree in Small Business. Bill can create anything you dream up!

Following in his fathers footsteps, William grew up along side his dad and grandfather in the woodworking shop. William has been a member of the team since he was just 10 years of age. His passion for creating lead him to choose a career at IWP. William is a Central Connecticut State University graduate, earning a Bachelors Degree in Construction Managment. William enjoys drawing pieces for his customers, with the ease of CAD and CNC technology.
